Service Exceptions
Services AccessMaids does not currently offer so expectations stay clear before booking.
The purpose of this page is simple: show customers the tasks that are outside the current service scope before an appointment is booked.
The live page already frames this as a safety-focused list. This rebuild keeps that purpose, but makes the exceptions easier to scan and understand.
Being clear upfront helps customers choose the right service, avoid surprises on appointment day, and know when a task needs a specialist instead.

Why exceptions are listed at all
A service-exceptions page protects both the customer and the cleaning team. It makes clear where safety, equipment, liability, or service-scope limits apply before time is reserved.
It also helps customers recognize when a task is better handled by a specialist, a restoration company, a window crew, or another type of provider outside standard residential cleaning.
Current service exceptions
These are the exclusions currently published on the live AccessMaids exceptions page, reorganized here into a clearer format.
Extreme Clutter Cleaning
Homes requiring heavy decluttering or hoarding-level reset work fall outside the standard service scope and need a different type of cleanup approach.
Mold or Biohazard Cleaning
Mold, biohazard conditions, and similar contamination issues require specialized equipment, containment, and training.
Lifting Items Over 25 Pounds
Heavy lifting is outside the normal appointment scope to protect staff safety and avoid damage or injury.
Scrubbing Walls or Ceilings
Full wall and ceiling scrubbing is not part of the currently offered cleaning scope.
Hard-to-Reach High Areas
Areas beyond the reach of a 2-step ladder are excluded from service for safety reasons.
Exterior Window Cleaning
Exterior windows are outside the standard service scope and may require separate tools, ladders, or exterior-access specialists.
Animal Waste, Litter, or Insects
Waste-related cleanup and infestation-related conditions are not part of standard service and can create safety and sanitation concerns.
Chandeliers
Chandelier cleaning is excluded because of height, fragility, and breakage risk.
Choosing the Right Next Step
An exception does not always mean no help. It often means the task needs a different service path.
Customers sometimes discover an exclusion while still having many other rooms or tasks that AccessMaids can still handle.
If the excluded task is only one part of the overall visit, the best next step is usually to clarify it with support and then book the cleaning work that does fit the current service scope.
- Use services or pricing pages to find the closest fit
- Contact support if only one part of the visit is unclear
- Use specialty providers for biohazard, infestation, or exterior-risk tasks
- Review terms of service for additional scope and liability details

Questions about service exceptions
These are the questions customers usually ask once they realize a task may sit outside standard cleaning scope.
Can I still book cleaning if only one task on this list applies to my home?
Often, yes. If the excluded item is only one part of the job, you can still contact AccessMaids to clarify what the team can handle during the rest of the appointment.
Why are high-reach and heavy-lifting tasks excluded?
Those limits are mainly about safety, injury prevention, and avoiding damage to property or equipment.
Does this page replace the service agreement?
No. This page is the quick exclusions guide, while the terms of service provide broader policy details about scope, liability, cancellations, access, and related conditions.
What if I am not sure whether my request is excluded?
Contact support before booking so the team can tell you whether the task fits the current service scope or should be handled by a different provider.
Next Step
Not sure whether your request fits the current service scope?
Ask before you book. AccessMaids can help clarify what is included, what needs a specialist, and which service route is the closest fit for your home.
